Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! The weather here in Michigan was spectacular! We spent the weekend at a softball tournament with our granddaughter (Super Jade!) Way too much for for Grandma and Grandpa!
The basis of this card is a retired Heartfelt Creations stamp that I picked up at the MegaMeet. Thought the gear bouquet would be cool layered and made into a guy card – my hardest ones! I used the new Tim Holtz mini-gear dies for the corner piece and a couple of the individual dies cut several times to layer on the stamped image. The leaves are Stampin’Ups Mossy Meadow and the can and nut are Wendy Vecchi’s Watering Can – perfect color. The can handle was wrapped with very thin soldering wire (that I stole from Dan’s toolbox)!
The 2016-17 Stampin Up Catalogue launches today! You can access it from the link on the top right above or by going to my Stampin’ Up Blog. I have catalogs available if you are like me and like to curl up in a chair to peruse and get ideas. Be sure to check out the cool retro new ink colors. I’m loving the Flirty Flamingo!
I CASE’d this card from The Maui Stamper. The background of the flowers was created with Timeless Textures and the flowers with the Flowering Fields – both Stampin’ Up stamp sets. Love the soft colors and water coloring. Since I need to get this sent off to my niece, I need to make another one for a sample before I forget how I did it! Wouldn’t this layout be cute as a Christmas card with some of the cute Christmas images and some glitz and glitter?
Love the Winking Frogs collection from Heartfelt Creations – they just make me happy. While I haven’t heard them yet, our tree frogs will be making a terrible racket soon now! This card was for my grandson’s 17th Birthday today!
I hadn’t made an easel card for a long time and thought this was a good one to stand up! The lily pad stamps and dies in this collection are really fun to make.
Tax season is OVER and now I can get back to having some fun creative time! Have a wonderful week everyone!
Have you heard about this? There is a new movement to bring back birthdays and here is a link so you can join the fun: www.facebook.com/groups/bringingbirthdaysback
I try to get handmade cards sent to all my friends and relatives, but admit to resorting to a quick comment on social media from time-to-time! So, this extra inspiration is just the boost I need to get those cards sent! There will even be a stamp with this hashtag available on March 7th.
The double stamping on the sentiments on this card was fun. I stamped in Mint Macaroon and then moved the sentiment slightly and restamped in black. Added a lot of depth that I really like! Come join the Facebook page…great inspiration!
I have not been able to post to the blog for a month! Others could see the blog, but I couldn’t see it or post to it! Suffice it to say, AT&T and I are not going to be having tea together any time soon!
Stampin’ Up is celebrating with their new Occasions Catalog and now through the end of the month is Sale-A-Bration. That means for every $50 in product purchase, you get to choose an item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog for free. Leave me a message is you would like to see a catalog or click on the link to my Stampin’ Up blog in the upper righthand corner. There are links to the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs on that page.
I have several cards to share. The first one is made from the darling HONEYCOMB HAPPINESS stamp set, Birthday Bouquet Design Series Paper, and Honeycomb embellishments. The set also includes the cutest little Chick.
You can find this set on page 15 of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Thank you for visiting. I’ll be back tomorrow with more samples. I would be honored if you would like to enter you email to be a blog follower!
This is a great discount to use on stamps through the 23rd. Link to my Stampin’ Up website and link to current catalogs through icon in right-hand corner.
My daughter was married in a darling barn structure (barn on the outside but wooden bench seating on the inside) at a cider mill. I wanted to make a special anniversary card for her and was really excited to find the Farmer’s Market collection from Heartfelt Creations. I did a lot of copic coloring, fussy cutting, and layering. The bottles are cut from acrylic. This one took a bit of time to finish, but was fun to arrange and put together. My photography skills are the next challenge! 🙂
I really love fall. It is my favorite season – warm days, cool sleeping nights, gorgeous colors everywhere! My cousin lives in California and comes from the midwest, so I thought she would appreciate a midwest birthday card!
This Happy Scenes stamp set has stamps for other seasonal cards too…love when I can use something lots of ways! I made this a tri-fold card so I could use the new Stampin’ Up window die on the front.
Have a wonderful day. I’m off to work outside for a little while getting plants replanted and tidying up a bit in the flower garden.
Love the layout for this card. I was happy with how it turned out, but like always doing something new, you learn as you go. The next time I will make a template or use a die the size of my block to trace around. I used a Tim Holtz ruler for this one. The template would make it easier to make a clean line.
Please excuse the shadows. I know better than to try and photograph without natural light!
