We had so much fun with these cards at our January Card Class. Each of them used products from the new Stampin’ Up Spring catalog …too many cute things to even describe!
This first card I total CASE’d from my good friend Emma Fewkes. It uses the Cloudy Day embossing folder, Oh, Whale! stamp set and Happy Whale Clearlits Die. The water was made from the Pool Party Core’dinations paper and Simply Scored Borders Scoring Plate (with a little cool sanding!)
This card uses the Secret Garden bundle (Secret Garden stamps and framelits dies) with the background done with the inked block technique.
And how can you not LOVE a great Valentine’s card?? The background is thin chipboard painted with Chalkboard Paint – and yes you really can use chalk on it! I was determined to use this Valentine’s sentiment from Seasonal Sayings. Staz-on white seemed to be the only white I could get to “stick”. The chalk ink pens (that are removable on the paint with a damp cloth) worked the best if you have nice handwriting skills! I used a ton of new products on this card, but the basic design is from the Hearts a Flutter Bundle of hearts and banners and the matching framelits dies. I also used the Ciao, Baby! stamp set and the Petite Curly Label Punch (free with a $50 purchase in the Sale-a-Bration promotion)!
Love your comments…and feel free to leave questions. There’s a lot to love going on at Stampin’ Up right now with their 25th Anniversary. I am totally smitten with their Best of Stamp series – one set a month of themed best of stamps from the past 25 years. Reasonably priced, very cool, and a free set after you purchase six. Flyer available, just couldn’t figure out how to post it!
Cute cards. I can’t wait to come up, meet you and make cards. We’ll have a fun time. I was cleaning out my craft room and came across my albums I did when I sold product. How fun to look back! I can see why women get hooked on it.
My favorite is the whales card. Love the intricate wave action.
Great work as usual Kaye. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me.
